Barnes Industrial has become one of the largest suppliers of plastic pipe and pipe related products in the state of Florida.
Barnes was formed to fill a need. Florida was in the biggest construction boom in the nation, and there was not a single supplier of plastic pipe in the state that could be depended upon to fill orders from his own inventory. Often jobs were held up for the lack of being able to obtain the most standard fittings. It was obvious there was a demand; we found the leading manufacturers of plastic pipe were just as anxious to establish a dependable source of supply for their products. The market certainly proved us right. Purchasing agents from companies, large and small, were enthusiastic in developing a source of supply whose goal was to maintain an in-stock inventory of their needs.

Naturally, we could not afford to come into the field with anything like the inventory we have today, but most of our customers realized this and were willing to work with us to help us realize our common goals.
